Shishir Gaire

I'm a mechanical engineer in Texas. When I'm not getting hardware onto a production floor, I'm photographing people, cutting short films, or building an iPhone app.

About

Placeholder for a portrait of Shishir

I was born in Nepal and moved to the US when I was six. I grew up between Dallas, Tucson and Austin, studied mechanical and energy engineering at the University of North Texas, and have been building hardware ever since.

My favorite problems are the ones that look impossible at first. At work that means taking a design from CAD to a working production line. Off the clock it means waiting an hour for the right light, or rebuilding an app for the third time until it feels right.

I swim, hike when I can, and drink too much espresso. If you want to say hi, my email is below.
